  3. Potential Features
  4. Discontinued Features
  5. Changes

In-Progress features

These features are currently in active development. I'm working on implementing and testing these features, and they are scheduled for release in the near future. While unexpected issues may arise, i'm confident these features will be part of upcoming updates.

Planned features

These are features that have been approved for development and will be included in future releases. While we're committed to implementing these features, they are not yet in active development. Timelines may be subject to change based on priorities and resources.

Passwordless authentication

  • Status: Planned
  • Description: Secure, passwordless login system where users verify their identity by receiving a one-time code to their email address. No passwords required - just enter your email, get a code, and you're in.
  • Estimated timeline: TBD

Blog Improvements

  • Status: Planned
  • Description: Add filters on index page, category pages, and a few more to enhance blog browsing.
  • Estimated timeline: TBD

Potential features

These features are currently being explored and evaluated. We're assessing their viability, potential impact, and implementation requirements. While we're excited about these possibilities, please note that they may or may not make it into the final product.

Features marked as "Experimenting" have undergone some practical investigation. For these features, we've written exploratory code and/or conducted initial tests. However, this work is highly preliminary and may not represent a functional version of the feature. These items are still in an early stage and not guaranteed for final implementation.

Features marked as "under consideration" are very likely to be planned features based on feedback and enthusiasm, knowing they'll be a massive plus for onlyscraper.fans and its users. Depending on how well testing and evaluation go, normally the feature will be guaranteed to be implemented.

Group subscriptions

  • Status: Under consideration, brainstorming, experimenting
  • Description: Allow users to split subscriptions of content creators.

Fanplace integration

  • Status: Under consideration, experimenting
  • Description: Integration with Fanplace platform, next to Fansly and Onlyfans.
  • Notes: The Fanplace API looks to be very solid. Perhaps better than Onlyfans API, which would make Fanplace a really great candidate to be a part of onlyscraper.fans.

Supporter max feature: access to download history

  • Status: Brainstorming
  • Description: Supporter max subscribers will be able to have a history of downloaded content. This means all zips and gofile/pixeldrain links will be listed to subscribers and never be deleted untill you decide to do so yourself.
  • Notes: Seperate cloud storage - to a S3 bucket for example - might be required.

Referral system

  • Status: Brainstorming
  • Description: A comprehensive referral system to reward users for bringing in new members.
  • Notes: Unknown which reward users would get - after bringing for example 10 new members.

Feedback overview page

  • Status: Brainstorming
  • Description: A transparent overview page where all user submissions are organized by category (bugs/ideas/other). Users can see what others have suggested, and view responses/updates from the team.
  • Notes: Would this be helpful at all?

Discontinued features

These features were previously considered or in development but have been cancelled. They are no longer actively pursued or maintained. This could be due to various reasons such as changes in project direction, technical limitations, or strategic decisions. While we appreciate the interest these features may have generated, they are not planned for implementation in the foreseeable future.

Features listed here serve as a record of past considerations and to inform users about changes in our development roadmap. If circumstances change, some of these features might be reconsidered, but there are currently no plans to do so.

Video Quality Selection

  • Status: Discontinued
  • Description: Ability to select video quality
  • Reason for Discontinuation:
    • Onlyfans: Inconsistency in API responses: never 100% sure if the selected video quality will be downloaded
    • Onlyfans: video quality only available for DRM videos.
    • Fansly: API too complex to properly retrieve video files with other video qualities
  • Note: The source code is still available and may be revisited in the future.

LoyalsFans integration

  • Status: Discontinued
  • Description: Integration with LoyalsFans platform.
  • Reason for Discontinuation: Platform too strict, potential risk on account being deleted.
  • Note: The source code is still available and may be revisited in the future.
